darkDining is a catering company specializing in restaurant quality cuisine and service. Whether you are looking to cater for a corporate meeting, baby shower, dinner party at home or a wedding, darkDining can provide whatever you require.

Husband and wife team Jon and Amanda Dark bring a wealth of hospitality experience to the area. Jon is the chef who has run kitchens in Sydney, Melbourne and the UK. In London he worked at Harvey Nichols, One Aldwych and with Michelin Star Chef Jean Christophe Novelli. He also spent time in Cornwall alongside TV chef Rick Stein. In Sydney he was Head Chef at The Whale Beach Restaurant, Beach Road and The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel. Jon's mix of experience and passion for fine food is always evident when selecting menus and cooking.

Amanda is the Front of House professional who has run bars and restaurants in London and Sydney. She has a Leisure Management degree and years of customer service experience from working in everything from rural English pub, stately home, cruise ship, West End Cocktail Bar, City Wine Bar and fine dining restaurant. Before moving to the South Coast, Amanda was part of the team running Cruise Bar at Circular Quay

It was always inevitable that Amanda and Jon would set up a business together. A year in the Hunter Valley gave them the opportunity to work as consultants and trainers within the industry and they continue this now on the South Coast - where Jon's cooking originally began.

For the last 2 years darkDining have been running The Grange Restaurant at South Pambula. The Grange is a gorgeous restaurant that is set on 13 acres and is perfect for Weddings. The main homestead was originally built by English Captain John Lloyd, a veteran of the battle of Trafalgar. The restaurant that exists today was gradually developed and sits alongside the historic Homestead facing an English style garden filled with an abundance of colour. The Grange is licensed to seat 180 but can be set to provide intimate dining too in our Art Room and Piano Room. Book in for a degustation for 10, cocktail party for 40 or wedding for 160.
